Construction Staging
Our preferred alternative, the Overcrossing, consists of three construction stages. The order of these three stages of construction was chosen in order to minimize the impact to traffic and lower the overall cost of the project. Below is a visual representation of each phase with a quick description.
Stage 1
During Stage 1, Campus Pkwy will be extended from Kendall Dr to the northbound side of the I-215. The construction of the bridge going over the I-215 freeway will begin during this phase.
Stage 2
Stage 2 will consist of connecting the southern portion of Campus Pkwy to Cajon Blvd. The extension from Cajon Blvd will end at Hallmark Pkwy. There will be no connection to Hallmark Pkwy during this phase.
Stage 3
During Stage 3, the connection to Hallmark Pkwy will be completed. Campus Pkwy will then extend from Hallmark Pkwy to the southbound side of the I-215. In addition, bridge construction shall be completed during this phase and the new Campus Pkwy will be in operation.
